Postcards from the Rest of the 3rd World

It is sometimes a pain to read Manila newspapers that constantly say how pathetic our country is . I know that we aren't exactly the best country in the world to be in but we still have a lot going for us and we should use it as a springboard for future successes.

I presume our journalists mostly travel only to "advanced countries" like the United States
or Singapore because they have relatives that they can stay with for free or they don't need a visa.

In the next few weeks I will write from fellow low thousand dollar GDP countries in South and Southeast Asia to give a more even perspective.
